If you're looking for a wedding makeup artist, here are some frequently asked questions (FAQs) that I often encounter that might help you when considering booking me!

I'm bringing back my recommended supplier interviews! There's still a few on my recommended list that I haven't interviewed, so I figured I'd catch a few more for 2023. Starting with the lovely Robyn aka Perfect Silhouette Hairdressing. I wrote about her for International Women's Day too as she's making great waves both in a hairstyling way, winning National awards, and for the LGBTQ+ community in setting up All In Love; an inclusive wedding fair in Lincolnshire. Here's a bit more about her and her business!

Emma got married in August 2021 at The Gilstrap, the Newark Registration Office. While we had some worries early in 2021 as to if the wedding would go ahead or not (pesky COVID!) she managed to keep her wedding date as planned and partied hard. Emma's not a big makeup person, and wanted a super light look that freshened her up.

Anyone and everyone who's had a lesson with me will know I bang on about SPF a lot. Wearing it every day, in a good quantity and sheltering yourself from the sun is the easiest (and one the best) thing you can do for your skin in the long term. And it's such an easy thing to do each day, and to build into a routine!

But buying one can be super confusing, esp with all the letters and numbers and acronyms. What the flippin' heck do they mean?

Winter weddings are absolutely gorgeous! I love the romantic atmosphere and cosiness of a winter wedding; no overheating or squinting in the high summer sun, crisp and frosty landscapes, complementary rich deep tones, twinkling lights, festive decorations and if you're lucky, maybe even some snow drenched photos.

After 15+ years of doing weddings, I genuinely think I’d be a millionaire if I had a quid for every time someone commented on how clean my makeup brushes are.

I don't get to see enough of Twig & Vine as a photographer so I'm putting it out into the world now that I want to work with him more in 2026!  it's an absolute joy to see Mamad on a wedding morning. He's one of the stealthiest photographers ever, and because he's an introvert, you don't always see him about online but his work is stunning. If you're looking for a photographer for your wedding to get those quiet moments in beautiful light, he's ace. He kindly answered my interview questions, so it's a joy to now feature him here for you all along with some weddings we've worked on together over the years!

The lovely folk at Eldora False Eyelashes sent me some of their cruelty-free and vegan lashes to try out a while ago, but due to my own lashes being pretty poop, I wanted to wait until they had fixed up a bit before giving them a proper review. Cue me months later finally getting around to putting them on 😍

The lovely Jason Lynch! The quietest and calmest videographer ever. He's got a dry sense of humour, and films weddings just how they happen without directing anything - which means you're calm too! The fact so many of his couples say that they barely knew he was there is such a testement to him because he's entirely focused on filming your day as it happens, blending in with you and your guests, and letting the day unfold and capturing it all.

I love a little review of the year! It's a good excuse to go back over my camera roll and my calendar and match things up for all the crazy stuff I've done. And boy, it's been a big year! So, let's go in chronological order yeah?
