Wedding Make Up Interview with: Paige

Paige and George did their "I dos" x 2 at Grangefields in Derbyshire on 21 May 2025. I say x2, as they also did their "I dos" the year before with their nearest and dearest in a smaller ceremony so as to take the stress out of their day. I'm 100% all for this - both doing things your way, in a way that suits you both as a couple is paramount, and then you also get to celebrate twice. Double the fun? Yes please!

When did you get engaged, and when did you get married? How long did it take to plan your wedding?

August 2022 so just under 3 years but we didn't start planning until around 9 months in

What suppliers did you book first? Feel free to sing their praises!

The venue is the first thing we booked; Grangefields.

How did you find me to book me? e.g. Google, social media, recommendation etc. 

We were searching on Hitched and then looked at your Instagram and loved your vibe, both makeup and personally

Why did you book me? Did you consider doing your own makeup?

I did consider doing my own but wanted something professional that had lasting power and photographed well and I know I'm not capable of that 😅 Quite honestly I booked you because I could see by your Instagram I would be comfortable with you and you weren't going to make me look like someone else.

How did you find your trial makeup appointment with me?

Brilliant. Really set the scene for the day. Felt like we'd known each other forever, so so comfortable from the get go.

Would you have changed anything about your wedding makeup?

No not at all. I loved it and everyone commented and said how nice I looked. It stayed so well and I didn't even need to use the touch up kit. I also cried and you couldn't tell at all.

Any advice for someone else getting married?

It's for you and your partner, no-one else, fuck their unsolicited opinions. And also book Sali.

Sali was phenomenal. Honestly just having her there on the day was such a calming influence for me. It's like having your big sis do your makeup. Also I looked 10/10 if I do say so myself. I had so many compliments on my makeup and it stayed so well, even after many tears. It also photographed amazingly and there was no shiny pictures at all. Sali is lovely and is so neurodivergent friendly, she explained what was going to happen at every stage and had a unique way of guiding me into correct positions that was so helpful for my autistic brain. Booking her will be the best thing you do!!!
