Skincare Resolutions

Categories: Skincare

Hope you've all had a cracking Christmas! If you're anything like me, I'm full to the brim with amazing food (roast duck, wow!) and too many bottles of prosecco to count...! Did you get any skincare goodies under your tree for Christmas? This lucky Sali got no7's Ultimate Collection gift set; yay! It's got the no7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Day AND Night Cream, oodles of bath goodies and both the Beautiful Skin Cleansing Lotion and Beautiful Skin Dry Skin Rescue; both staples in my kit at work and at home.

As we now hurdle towards the end of 2015 and in keeping with my post last week being about skincare, what’s your favourite way to remove your make-up? Do you cleanse, tone and moisturise or a quick face wipe to remove the day's muck and grime? Soap and water, or (eek!) nothing at all?! If you say yes to anything that involves going to bed with a clean face, you get thumbs up from me. If you don’t take it off, don’t tell me! Fingers in ears, la-la-la, I can’t hear you! Skincare is the first and foremost in make-up.

Everyone knows it’s the cardinal sin to leave your make-up on when you go to bed and yet there are STILL people who do it. This is the time when your skin needs to breathe and if you’re prone to spots, it’s just making it worse. Could you make it a New Year’s resolution to remove your make-up each night?

I have begun my new year's resolution early and started a proper skin care routine - including getting some advice from a pharmacist about my damned acne! I love the Boots witch hazel and tea tree foaming face wash, it leaves my skin feeling fresh without being stripped bare. http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Tea-Tree-Witch-Hazel-Foaming-Face-Wash-150ml_1213604/ I'm giving Acnecide a try for the spots and I still use your recommended Palmers cocoa-butter as a moisturiser. Absolute godsend. Love it love it love it!
