The lovely folk at Eldora False Eyelashes sent me some of their cruelty-free and vegan lashes to try out a while ago, but due to my own lashes being pretty poop, I wanted to wait until they had fixed up a bit before giving them a proper review. Cue me months later finally getting around to putting them on 😍
After 15+ years of doing weddings, I genuinely think I’d be a millionaire if I had a quid for every time someone commented on how clean my makeup brushes are.
Abby and Jamie married at The Renaissance at Kelham Hall on 7 June 2025. I'd met Abby back in 2021 when her bestie Kirstie got married, and we'd stayed in touch on Instagram ever since. Sometimes you just meet people and INSTANTLY get on and have simliar sense of humor - that was me and Abby! When her and Jamie got engaged (finally, ha!) she came to me straight away to lock me in for her wedding makeup. What a babe! If Carslberg did clients... <3 Here's more about her big day and wedding planning experience.
I don't get to see enough of Twig & Vine as a photographer so I'm putting it out into the world now that I want to work with him more in 2026! it's an absolute joy to see Mamad on a wedding morning. He's one of the stealthiest photographers ever, and because he's an introvert, you don't always see him about online but his work is stunning. If you're looking for a photographer for your wedding to get those quiet moments in beautiful light, he's ace. He kindly answered my interview questions, so it's a joy to now feature him here for you all along with some weddings we've worked on together over the years!
I love a little review of the year! It's a good excuse to go back over my camera roll and my calendar and match things up for all the crazy stuff I've done. And boy, it's been a big year! So, let's go in chronological order yeah?
Time for a round-up of last year's weddings, and boy 2025 was BEAUTIFUL! I love that my clients all lean in to looking like themselves on their wedding days, from having fresh faced skin, going for bright colour if that speaks to their soul, wanting eyeliner a particular way, saying hell no/yes to things that light them up. I encourage every one of my wedding clients to go for what makes them feel good on their wedding day; if you feel good, you're guaranteed to look good. And with that, let's see them all in their beautiful wedding day glory!
Oh my, what can I say about Claire? I have to be especially nice as she is my website developer and build/runs this whole online Ms Moo ship, but I will be especially nice anyway because she's one of my besties. Claire was one of the first people I met in Nottingham when I moved here nearly 20 years ago. She's probably the person I've done makeup on the most, other than my own face! When at my birthday last year I albeit drunkly said I didn’t want to do makeup for weddings where I was attending the whole day anymore (it’s tiring to work and then attend physically and mentally after), the colour drained from her face as she was just about to get engaged!
I backtracked HARD as there was never really any doubt that I wouldn’t do her wedding makeup, when her face and friendship is the reason I really started doing makeup back in 2007! Here's a relatively 'newer' shoot for us from 2014 - yanno, only eleven years ago!
I love doing a little gift guide for you all, so here's my Christmas Present gift idea list for 2025. As per last year, I've kept the list as under £15, over £30, under £60, and then over £60!
