With Valentine's Day looming ahead, all I've noticed on TV recently is red lipsticks so I figured I'd write about some of my favourites!
Fenty Beauty - Uncensored in Stunna Lip Paint*
This stuff is SO punchy. It's a liquid lipstick so you'll want a super steady hand to apply, and I do find that while I like the doe foot applicator, it has a LOT of product on it so you're going to want to scrape off as much excess as you can before you put it near your lips. The colour pay off is so good though! I've a few of these Stunna lip paints; both Uncensored and Uncuffed are my favourites, the latter being really popular with bridesmaid's this year who've wanted a lipstick that stays put. They are really lightweight and soft matte too, so you don't feel like your lips are drying out.
Illamasqua - Maneater in Ultramatte
This has been a staple in my wedding makeup kit for the longest time now. It's from their Ultramatte range which means it's matte AF, and won't budge for the longest time. If you've got dry lips you'll want to exfoliate and moisturise them before applying this, and any other matte lipstick. It's such a proper good red, and is more blue-based than orange. It's blood red essentially! I love it, and I think it makes anyone wearing it feel incredibly fierce. Maneater reminds me of a line from the musical Kinky Boots; "RED is the colour of sex... Red is the colour sex, and fear, and danger, and signs that say "DO NOT ENTER. All my favourite things in life."
If you've not seen Kinky Boots, I'd recommend it. And I'd recommend getting Maneater too!

VE Cosmetics - Blood Moon in Liquid Matte Lipstick
I bought this just before Christmas and wore it over the holidays. It's so nice on your lips and believe me when they say it's smudge-proof! I had to use an oil based cleanser to remove it from my lips... wow! A great 'small' business creating all vegan and cruelty-free makeup within the UK. Definitely check them out!
(Sadly VE Cosmetics have had to stop making their liquid matte lipsticks due to increased costs and this shade isn't available now, but it's worth mentioning; there are quite a few other colours still in stock an on sale though; I really like the look of Danger, Full Moon, and Chocoholic!)

What are your favourite red lipsticks? Let me know!
