« Cleaning your make-up brushes

I've needed some new make-up in my personal kit for a while now, so I went with a relavtively low budget to get some new make-up with the idea that each piece would cost me under a tenner! I'm not really one for doing big review blogs but I figure if I'm testing these out on my face I should probably share my experiences with you lovely lot :)

NYX Professional Makeup Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation - £6.00

I wish I could say I liked this all the time, but I don't. I

Sleek MakeUp Lethal Length Mascara - £6.99

I'm really not a fan of the two sided brush. The product is a bit gloopy though and I found I got a better application when I'd cleaned off the brush completely, and then applied product after just one 'dip' back in the tube. I think the two sides of the brush with the different lengths makes it collect too much product, which is a bit of a waste.

Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Highlighting Creams - £7.99

Sleek MakeUp Precious Metals Highlighting Palette - £9.99

Really lovely colours, but the consistency of these are so bad. One of them has

MUA Pro Base Primer - £4.00

I've really enjoyed using this but only really for the tea-tree in it. It's just the right amount to feel a slight tingle when you've applied it over spots, but not enough to make you wince in pain. I don't know if anyone's ever used any other tea tree products on their skin but that searing owww you feel just isn't nice! Certainly don't apply it on or near your eyes as it'll make them water like you wouldn't believe! As a primer on the whole though, I don't think I'd use it on it's own. I'll continue using it over my chin (where I break out a lot) before I apply 'proper' primer though but I probably wouldn't purchase it again.

MUA Undress Your Skin Liquid Glow in Oyster - £4.00

I've used this both under foundation and over foundation, and while it blends really nicely I just can't get on with cream highlighters when applying them over foundation - I've always preferred power highlighters more than cream, swapping out my beloved 'Gleam' from illamasqua for the OMG powder highlighter. I'd certainly use it with a BB cream or if I had a fresh faced client who didn't need more than a medium coverage foundation. I think using it on your body would be quite nice too, and a tiny amount really goes a long way so it's quite a long lasting product. Personally though, if MUA could do the Oyster colour in a pressed or loose powder highlighter, that'd be amazing - I've checked the pressed 'Undress Your Skin' powders, and there's nothing that matches Oyster and it's a really pretty colour! Boo.
