Wedding Make Up Interview with: Imogen

Imogen and Cai married at Donginton Park Farmhouse in October 2024. Due to the registrar not being available at their chosen time, they had their legal ceremony super quick in the morning, in the middle of getting ready! They didn't want to have their whole day start really early so they did it their way - legal bit, back to finish getting ready, then celebrant led ceremony in front of all their family (including Ruby below!) and friends later - wahey! That way there was zero nerves and 100% fun - what more could you want?

Why did you book me? Did you consider doing your own makeup?
Never considered doing my own, god no. Read on your website and insta and you looked right my vibe!

 

How did you find your trial makeup appointment with me?
Fabulous very comfortable and just like having a chat with a friend.

 

Would you have changed anything about your wedding makeup?
Not at all. If I could have it on always.

 

Any advice for someone else getting married?

Fuck the expectations. Do you.

 

 

I just wanted to draw attention to two things from Imogen's little interview here.

 

Firstly, she googled LGBT+ suppliers and found me. This makes my soul sing! I'm a card carrying member of the LGBT+ community, and will 100% stand beside, behind, or in front of my trans siblings. I'll never speak for you, but I'll speak up for you in all scenarios - I'm here for you, and with you. 

 

Secondly, Imogen's response to the question "Any advice for someone else getting married?" being "Fuck the expectations. Do you." I love this with all my heart. It's the perferct advice because after all, a wedding is celebrating you two - and only you. Your marriage is for the two of you - start that with just the two of you in mind, and fuck all the other expectations put upon you. That's not your shit to carry!
