The INKEY List

Categories: Products

The lovely team at The INKEY List recently sent me some goodies for a new range they have launched!

I've not used the Salicylic Acid cleanser but as I've always suffered with hormonal acne, I've been super excited to try out their Hydrocolloid Invisable Pimple Patches. True to form, a spot must have realised that these babies had been delivered because one came up within 48 hours!

Formulated with 99% hydrocolloid to help extract the yukk that lives in a spot, help flatten the blemish from being a mole hill on your face, and create a protective seal around said molehill. The patches come in a couple of sizes too, depending on your spot size, and they are VERY thin and ultra-matte so make blending into your skin super easy.  It's said you can wear makeup on top of them but I've not tried that myself. The patches have a slight blurring effect too which sort of lessens the appearance of the spot underneath. Super clever stuff!

You've meant to leave them on for about 4 hours, or overnight and it doesn't matter if you use them AM or PM. I found that loads of stuff came out of my spot after 4 hours, and it sure helped speed up the healing process. I've talked to people about the unconcious itch and picking we do to our skin a lot too, and found that having a physical barrier on my face super helpful. Every time my fingers went to go try fiddle with the spot, they were stopped!

I'll save you from the ick that came out on the patch after 12 hours of wearing one, but you can see this one which was about four hours...!

Have you used spot patches before? Would you be tempted to try these?
