Hey! I'm Sali Jones, aka Ms Moo Make Up. I'm a multi award-winning cruelty-free freelance professional make-up artist with over 14 years of experience and 400+ weddings. I'm based in Nottingham, but I'm happy to travel across the UK to wherever you need me, though the majority of my work is based in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire.

Wedding Make Up Interview with: Yvette

Yvette and Ben married in April 2024 at Cockliffe Country House; just up the road from me! It's so nice being able to roll out of bed and go to work haha! She was recommended to me by the lovely Nicola who married in December 2020, and was one of her bridesmaids. Hearing that a past client has recommended me is just the loveliest, so thank you to everyone and anyone whoever recommends me to friends and family that are marrying. It's just the best!

When did you get engaged, and when did you get married? How long did it take to plan your wedding?
Engaged April 2023 and married April 2024 so 1 year in total, all the main bits were sorted in the first 6 months. (Yvette contacted me in June 2023 and was speedy!)

What suppliers did you book first? Feel free to sing their praises!
Venue, I walked around on a show day and fell in love with it! Next up was venue styling; Wedding Delights did a great package for venue styling at a reasonable cost

How did you find me to book me? e.g. Google, social media, recommendation etc.
Recommended by my best friend as you did her wedding makeup

Why did you book me? Did you consider doing your own makeup?
Never considered doing my own make up. I wanted the day to be stress free and the idea of me trying to do winged eyeliner and false lashes myself on my wedding day was a recipe for disaster.

How did you find your trial makeup appointment with me?
Very relaxed and easy

Would you have changed anything about your wedding makeup?
No I loved it

Any advice for someone else getting married?
Plan within your budget. it is easy to get carried away!
